Now that the initial work together has culminated, 2Rev developed a mindset analysis tool to investigate changes in — and, in many cases, the growth of — innovative and integrative mindsets amongst the VBCPS community as a result of this work together. Overall, participants felt as though their participation in the prototyping network was valuable, important, and deepened their understanding of the work.

These themes emerged as the most meaningful part of the experience for participants:

● An appreciation for the process of design thinking: Participants highlighted their learning about the messiness of innovation, learning how to think differently, and prototyping multiple solutions to a challenge as being a rich learning experience.

Empathy work: Participants greatly valued the inclusion of intense empathy work throughout this process. They enjoyed hearing from stakeholders to understand diverse perspectives, needs, and values.

Collaboration: There was excitement about the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of people through this process.

Support: Some also expressed appreciation for the support they received throughout this experience—making them feel valued and having learned a great deal.

The tool studied participants growth across five areas: Self-Reflections on Innovation & Integration, Integrative Mindset Beliefs, Integrative Mindset Conditions, Innovative Mindset Beliefs, and Innovative Mindset Conditions. The table below shows the responses for innovation and integration.
